Attend a Cultural Event:

This Saturday, November 3rd, the Indian Student Alliance is hosting the largest cultural show of the semester here at the University of Iowa, Diwali. Diwali is one of the most prominent South Asian festivals of the entire year and celebrates a time of communal unity and happiness. People all across the world celebrate the victory of good over evil in a vibrant and colorful atmosphere during this festival.

DIWALI 2012:
**Saturday, November 3rd**
5pm: Authentic Indian Dinner catered by Taj Mahal, IMU 2nd Floor Ballroom
7pm: Main Show, IMU Main Lounge

The show will include performances from Bollywood and Bhangra to classical Indian dances.  This year the show will feature The University of Iowa's very own South Asian teams: Hawkeye Bhangra, Iowa Andhi (Bollywood/Fusion dance team), and Iowa Agni (South Asian acapella team).
