Vice-President JD Moran has a long history with student government. He first got involved with student government in 2006 as a freshman senator. Afterwards he became an off-campus housing senator, and last year as an at-large senator he was elected by the senate to be speaker of the senate for 2008-2009.
JD is currently working on organizing the Associate of Big Ten Schools conference and a number of other platform initiatives for UISG.
