Running for election is one of the ways to get involved in UISG. Under this tab, you will find information about the positions for which you may run, the process you need to follow in order to run, and the strategies you may use to run effectively.
The Elections Commissioner is responsible for administering UISG elections. This year, Sidney Martinez (firstname.lastname@example.org) will serve as the Elections Commissioner. She will ensure that the UISG elections are administered fairly. Sidney will be a valuable resource for anyone who wishes to run. Please reach out to her with any and all questions.
There are a number of events associated with UISG elections, each of them making sure that the process is fair and that candidates are prepared to participate.

Depending on your position, there are a number of ways to run for a position in a UISG election.
Students running for election must follow the campaign finance regulations outlined in the UISG Election Code.
Q: Are there grade requirements to be eligible to run?A: Yes, all students must be in, and maintain, “good standing” with the University.
