In partnership and support from the Iowa House Hotel, Undergraduate Student Government, Student Legal Services, the Iowa Memorial Union, University Housing & Dining, and Student Care and Assistance, students who are undergraduate, graduate, and professional status have the option to apply to stay in Lease Gap housing.
The Iowa House Hotel will provide temporary hotel rooms for University of Iowa students who live off campus, but may be without housing between the end of their 2023-2024 lease and the start of their 2024-2025 lease. The Lease Gap program will run from July 28th to August 3rd, 2023.
Additionally, there is free parking for students staying at the Iowa House Hotel at the Hancher Parking Lot. Students are responsible for acquiring the free parking pass for Hancher from UI Parking.
2024 program update
The Lease Gap program signup for 2024 will be sent out in June. Please be on the lookout for a mass email in mid-June.
