Airport Shuttle

UISG is now partnering with Yellow Cab of Iowa City to provide an airport shuttle service before and after academic break periods.

The UISG airport shuttle will be available for students looking to get home at the end of the year. On May 9th, 10th, 11th, & 12th departures shuttles will take students to the CID airport. For students looking to return in the fall please keep an eye out on the UISG website for those dates.

Reservations will open Monday 4/15. Reservations for departures must be made Monday, May 6th by 11:59pm. If for any reason you need to cancel or change your reservation please email or call (319) 338-9777 at least 24 hours prior to your pick-up time.

Students should allow for a window of availability for pickup to coordinate shuttles more efficiently. Please be aware: this service does not provide door-to-door pickup. Yellow Cab reserves the right to give you an alternative pickup location near your original location request within 24 hours of your scheduled departure. Please remain vigilant for any correspondence you may receive from Yellow Cab prior to your departure.

Students will pay just $5 for their trip to the airport and will be grouped with other university students with similar departure times. Students may also reserve a ride back for another $5. If a student is unable to be matched with other students based on time/location requests, the ride will still be provided - but the cost will be $10. Cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to scheduled pickup time. Late cancellations and no shows will result in students being charged $10 - to be assessed on their U-Bills.

Payments can be made upon pickup in the form of Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover cards, along with cash (bills under $20) and Yellow Cab gift cards.

If for any reason you need to request a shuttle outside of operating dates please email UISG's Director of Student Services, Anthony Haughton (, or Senator Anna Correa ( as soon as possible.

Why is UISG charging for this service now? This service has historically been free to students, but UISG is looking to implement an accountability procedure to prevent no-shows and better facilitate the reservation processes. Furthermore, this small fee allows UISG to partner with a provider who can better manage the high demand for this service & promotes the economic sustainability of this service into the future.
